Mario & Freddie Mercury in Union Square

Mario & Freddie Mercury in Union Square.jpg

For no reason I took one month off from the photoblog. I was doing so well too! Luckily I have a whole lot of new material to work with now, so updates should be daily for a while.

Union Square is one of the liveliest parks in New York. There's always people bustling about, jazz duos performing, skateboarders grinding down the steps, and 4 days a week people jam the square for the farmer's market. It's an amazing place to go and just get lost. One time I got to see Mario from Brooklyn's show, where he plays a french juggling and unicycle riding Freddie Mercury. With cops watching on the corner, he led a 6 year old to hold a flaming baton high in the air, and got a tourist frmo Iowa to ride his unicycle on his shoulders. What a show!
