Some people are dog people, others like cats. I'm a bird person. Whenever I'm at a zoo i always spend a long time in the brid sanctuary, and then eagerly find the great birds, the eagles and the vultures. The past three times I've been to a zoo I've tried to get good pictures of bald eagles and have come up empty. A lot of the time, it's simply not possible given the environment in which the great birds are kept. This was my best attempt at the National Zoo, which is significantly better than my attempt from last year at the Bronx Zoo. Still, I know I can do better.
