Still Life I

A month or so ago when I posted "A Sunflower Above Harlem,' I made a point to note how I generally do not do flower pictures. However, I really did like that sunflower, and toko some more still life pictures with it in rather untraditional ways. Moreso, school's starting up and I'm in a rut in my shooting, so this is a picture I had wanted to post a while ago but didn't.
Things I like about this: I like how it's a still life, but it's totally different. I like the colors of the flower, contrasted with the well-detailed tea cup it is sitting in, which is positioned so that it almost looks like the stem of the flower. Also note that the picture is a bit wider than the frame of this website, but I haven't yet figured out how to make the boundaries scale, so the right side is being cut off a little. *sigh*
