Lightburst

I went down to the Met to pick up opera tickets wiwth some friends today, and walking back saw that the plaza and all the trees were covered in lights. We all took out our cameras to try to take some pictures. This was my attempt at a good shot. I like the repetition of subject, one in focus one not, and I love the contrast. I also like how the imagery is totally divorced from context, it just is a random light burst. When Jon saw it, though he was standing next to me when I pressed the shutter, he didn't even realize where it was taken.
