This is one of the two pictures from my China trip that I had not posted earlier. After taking th picture shown yesterday, I stayed at a hotel at the top of the mountain, and awoke at 5:30 in the morning to catch this sight. I finally figured out how to get the colors mostly right (they still aren't perfect, but good enough for now), so I felt it was time to post it.

Also, I wanted this to be a somewhat symbolic picture. Sunrises represent new beginnings. Personally, this sunrise was the first event in a new stage of my life. Here's hoping that the new year, 2006, is a better year than the one before it.
