This shot was taken while strolling through the city of Xian, China one night. On Xi Jie (East Street) a group of 3 policemen were standing perfectly still, like Buckingham Palaa Guards, in front of a store. As someone who is not used to seeing this, I found it a curious sight. Turns out the other white guy thought the same thing.
As far as the picture gos, my source material wasn't perfect. The focus was a little off, and the depth of field wasn't exactly what I wanted it to be. What can you say when you need to shoot at iso 1600, max aperature, and still need a slow shutter speed, and need to get the right moment. I also wish I had zoomed out slightly more than 40mm so that I could have fully gotten the other two policemen into the picture. As it was, they were 1/3 in the frame, and had to be cropped. Oh well, at least I got to learn some more photoshop tools in processing it. =)

PS: cropped, refocus
