
You will soon learn that one of my favorite photography subjects is other photographers. While other people walk down the street and can't help but look at that pretty [man or woman] who passes, I can't help but look at the guy with the hot camera, and often will take a picture of them taking pictures of whatever's around. I may do a series on this later on.
Taken in the Forbidden City, Beijing, China, this is one of the more striking pictures of a photographer I remember taking. There was this magic moment, and I wasn't the only one who saw it, and I hope I rercreated it well. The photographer in question is really concentrating on getting his shot, but his hand just wasn't built to handle the camera. His index finger is deformed, so he uses his thumb to reach the shutter, and he uses the stump on his left arm to help support the camera. What I love about this is the perseverance despite physical deformity. I hope in the end he got a good picture.
