Macy's Parade I

I have 2 more pictures from China I want to put up, but I'm having trouble processing them, so they will wait until I have more time and can truly be happy with the results.

On Thanksgiving morning i was lucky enough to get a front-row space to watch the Macy's Parade. Even better, I had some young (and therefore much shorter than I am) kids next to me, so I had nothing blocking my view. This was my first time going into the city to watch the parade, and it was a ton of fun. If you live near NYC and haven't gone to the parade before, try to go one year. I managed to get a few decent shots which I'll put up in the next couple of days.

The composition of this picture is strikingly similar to yesterday's picture. I like shooting shots lik this using very shallow angles to reduce the spacing between objects, and wide aperatures in order to let the repeated image blur more. I think it is a great way to convey number and order. The clarinetists (sp?) pictured are part of the John B Alexander High School Band from Laredo, Texas.
